Peptide Aptamer and Z-domain-based Scaffold Protein Development Services

Peptide aptamers are small combinatorial proteins that are selected to bind to specific sites on their target molecules. Peptide aptamers consist of short sequences, 5-20 amino acid residues long, typically embedded as a loop within a stable protein scaffold. Fusion Biolabs has 4 ready-to-panning phage display libraries to meet your peptide aptamer development.

Fusion Biolabs has various platforms for peptide aptamer and scaffold protein development.

  1. Phage Display of combinatorial peptide libraries

Phage display is the most widely used approach to identify and isolate high-affinity ligands from combinatorial peptide libraries.  Libraries of diversified peptide combinatorial libraries built on artificial scaffolds are introduced directly into the genome of M13 phage by fusing to the gene of the appropriate coat protein pIII.

Fusion Biolabs has four combinatorial peptide libraries for your target screening and biopanning.

  1. Phage Display of combinatorial Z-domain-based scaffold protein phage library

Z-domain-based scaffold proteins are a class of small, robust scaffold proteins derived from the IgG binding domain of Staphylococcus aureus protein A (SPA). Thirteen specific amino acids in the three α-helix regions of the IgG binding domain can be randomly mutated to construct a Z-domain-based scaffold protein library. This library can be screened to obtain Z-domain-based scaffold proteins with high affinity and specificity to any given target molecule.
