DNA aptamer against Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor-165
Background
Vascular endothelial growth factor-165 (VEGF-165) is a protein that plays a key role in angiogenesis, vascular cell survival, and other processes. VEGF-165 is produced by a number of cells, including endothelial cells, macrophages, and T cells. It binds to the receptor tyrosine kinases VEGFR1 and VEGFR2, and activates the PI3K/AKT and p38 MAPK pathways.
